Character's personal/professional history: Chris was pretty average though the academy. He never stood out. Until he was lucky enough to be serving aboard the USS Vendetta where he helped R&D study a captured Breen Scout ship. No one on board was able to understand the alien technology, except Chris. After that assignment, Dav, as everyone called him, started the study of Alien Tec. Currently, he has a working knowledge of not only federation Tec, but of that of many races. He has quickly became extremely useful on away team missions that happen into contact with previously unknown alein technology. This is his field. He also acquired considerable leadership skills working on a station at the Cardassian boarder.
