Background Info:

Born on a far-flung colony world, but fiercly loyal to the Star Empire, S'Tev ir'Tralak is a battle-wisened man who has served the Romulan military for over forty years.  He has commanded three vessels, one of them a Warbird, and fought bravely in the Dominion War.  S'Tev was married once, but his wife was killed an explosion that also took the life of a Romulan senator near a garden on Romulus.  He has been offered retirement twice, and turned it down both times.    During the defection of Admiral Alidar Jarok, S'Tev was the Chief of Security at the Romulan Star Fortress where the Admiral made his escape.  The Star Fortress's commander had assigned the base's security forces, against S'Tev's opinion, to the lower levels of the base.  Jarok easily escaped them by going to the upper levels of the base, and S'Tev took the blame for his superior officer's mistake.  He was demoted to the rank of Centurion, and was assigned to a front line Scout Ship where he was expected to be killed.  Instead, he served brilliantly as the Scout Ship's Tactical Officer, and was awarded a medal for bravery under fire.  He has since served on three different Warbirds, slowly making his was back up to the rank of erei'Riov.   He is extremely trustworthy and loyal to his commander, ship, and crew, and will thoughtlessly place himself in the line of fire to protect what is dear to him.    S'Tev is an avid reader of Terran and Cardassian literature, and is an expert on the tactics and thought processes of other species. 

Romulan EMH, Mark II (Ro'wena a.k.a.: Ro')

The Romulan Emergency Medical Hologram, Mark II (Ro'wena) was recently created by Damascae Minesci Ro'wena e-des D'Cado ir-Zyqrna III t'K're as a replacement for the both the federation standard EMH models and the original modified Romulan EMH currently in use aboard the Imperical Romulan Vessels .

Physically, this EMH program is a middle aged Romulan female of an identical description with Damascae Minesci Ro'wena e-des-D'Cado t'K're with the exception of hair style. (Therefore the hologram is 5'10" tall, slender with dark eyes, dark hair, and the standard military hairstyle.)

Ro' is programmed with over 5,000 medical references. In these references are many very rare and unusual medical data bases including Damascae Ro'wena e-des D'Cado's own personal research, recent Vulcan science academy research on mystic healing, and recent research by federation cyberneticist Professor Sy. The COMPLETE Romulan, Federation, and Klingon medical databases are of course included in the programming. (Astute commanders do not ask how the non-Romulan data is obtained.)

IMPROVEMENTS to this Romulan EMH Mark II include, but are not limited to:

Self-activating, self-deactivating standard setting.

Automatic activation with ship's secondary alert status.

Automatic activation upon arrival of non-recognized, non-authorize personnel in med-bay area.

Programs in place for complete self diagnostic and medical data base information update routinely.

Standard Mobile module which allows for movement with away teams.

Self teaching module that allows the EMH Mark II to learn from it's experiences.

Security files in place that prevent unauthorized access or change to the EMH profile programming.

Ro' is Board certified proficient in medical field surgery, microsurgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, endocrinology, cardiology, pulmonology, dermatology, optometry, audiology, gastrology, urology, psychology, gerontology, neonatology, and pediatric medicine. Competent and certified capable of diagnosis and treatment for all known acute and chronic medical conditions for Romulanoid, canoid, felinoid, dolphinoid, draconoid, krakenoid, reptiloid, and avioid life-forms.

The program has been designed to speak, write, reads, and understnad all known universal languages, specific regional dialects, and many archaic languages. Ro' is programmed to offer INITIAL interaction based on cultural/racial clues in the following current languages: Romulan, Klingon, Andorian, Cardassian, Bajoran, Ferengi, Federation Standard, Vulcan, and Cherokee. She is also programmed to offer INITIAL interaction based on cultural/racial/time period clues in the following languages: Archaic Romulan, Archaic Vulcan, Archaic Klingon, Old English, Babylonian, Persian, German, French, Polynesian, and Aluet.

In addition, Ro' is programmed with 20 years combat experience. Although capable of advising on defensive and offensive military maneuvers, the Romulan EMH Mark II (Ro') is not permitted to take life except in defense of crewmembers, civilians, or patients. She is quite capable of preparing field medical facilities under combat conditions and/or directing field med-tech units.

Personality: After an exhaustive search of computer data base personalities, Damascae Minesci Ro'wena e-des D'Cado t'K'Re decreed none to be acceptable and gave the hologram her own personality ingrams instead of a preprogrammed personality package.

2363-2367 Stationed with the 3/5 Regiment (the Red Talons) at  Marine Station .Bolarus. Here Kroat gains command of an Infantry Section.

2367 Bolarus is besieged by random acts of theft and and destruction perpetrated by a syndicate of Corvallen Pirates. When the Federation managed to get an information source inside the syndicate, they deployed three sections to assist in defending the pirates most probable targets. The Corvallens descended on Dorvok in small attack shuttles and landed in the heart of town to fan out across the city. Before they vacated their landing area 2nd Lt.Kroat’s section had them surrounded and trapped. Only five out of some fifty Corvallen raiders survived the ensuing fire fight. The rest of the syndicate leftBolarus to find another planet with less security. Lt. Kroat is transferred toFlight Training School on Betazed.

2367-2368 On completion of Flight Training School, 2nd Lt.Kroat is transferred to a Marine Fighter Platoon stationed at StarBase Earhart. He spent three years there, hunting various pirates. 2369 Kroat is sent on special assignment with his platoon and a combat shuttle carrying some high ranking federation diplomats. During the mission, the platoon was engaged by a branch of the Orion Snydicate. Kroat was awarded the Medal of Honor when he interposed his fighter  between the lead orion ship and the battered combat shuttle, losing his ship in the process. After the battle, he was picked up on the shuttle and they returned to StarBase Earhart where he was promoted to 1st Lt.

2370 Kroat Applies and is accepted into the Aerospace Aggressor program.

2372-2373 Kroat is given command of  two fighter platoons on Terawattt V on the Thallonian Border, to guard against any pirates attracted by the rapidly destabilizing Thallonian Empire. His time here is uneventful.

2374 With the breakout of the Dominion War, Kroat is given command of a Fighter Platoon with the Tenth Fleet. He sees little combat in the first few months. When the word arrived that the tenth fleet was to engage in training excerises on StarDate 51721.3, Kroat argued against it, but was overruled, thus allowing the Dominion invasion of Betazed. He spent the next year of the war in the 12th fleet partrolling the Cardassian Border.

2375 Kroat was reassigned to command of a marine fighterplatoon in a SFMC lightning assault to retake Betazed. Even though the dominion fleet had not been present to defend it, there was much resistance from the 5 million Jem’hadar garrisoning the planet. Kroat’s platoon was flying air cover in one of the most heavily fortified areas of the planet. Nevertheless, everything seemed to be going fairly well. Then a group of Dominion fighters appeared out ofthe city. Kroat and his squadron were on them immediately, taking them all out of the fight before they had a chance to fire a single shot at the ground troops. They were awarded the StarFleet Air Medal for their outstanding efficiency in disposing of the enemy fighters.

After the retaking of Betazed Kroat was transferred to the 5th fleet and participated in the assault on Chin’toka, and later, the final assault of Cardassia.

2376 With the end of the war, Kroat was given six months accumulated leave to return to his home planet. With his return to active duty, he has been assigned Marine Company XO of StarBase Bravo, in Raeyan space.

Background/Personal History::

Orphaned as an infant. Parents unknown. Placed with a sucession of foster families, none of whom were able to reach the child emotionally. In spite of her angelic features, her inquisitive nature tended to Keep her constantly in trouble with straight laced adults. Ran away from last faster home placement at age 10. Jerrianne survived on streets of Nashville by picking pockets, fleecing tourists, and stealing food. Four years later, she was caught in the act of stealing food by retired Marine Major John Harmon Riley. The terminally ill ex-Marine took the girl into his home, adopting her as his own daughter. Major Riley, seeing the potential of her quick mind, devoted the last two years of his life to instilling in her marine ideals, and seeing to her schooling. At his death, Jerrianne, now a self assured age 16, obtained forged birth certificate records to make her appear of legal age and applied immediately to the SF Marines.

Being younger and smaller than most, she worked twice as hard to prove herself worthy. Her quick mind and unfailing courage gained grudging admiration of her fellow marines and notice of her superior officers.
